The Friendsville Community Park sits in what the Shawnee Indians called the Hunter’s Bowl. The town has had visitors for over 10,000 years including early archaic mound builders. The town is the take-out for the world class Upper Yough River where rafters and kayakers come from all over the world to test their nerve and skill. The town also features the Kendall Trail that extends into the fully protected Youghiogheny River Wild and Scenic Corridor.
Town Park Features: community center, handicapped accessible paved walking trail, fitness trail, 4 horsehoe pits, 2 volleyball courts, tennis courts, lots of open space for frisbee etc, basketball courts, stage, pavillions, two baseball fields and a river access area.
